Tanya enjoys volunteering for military causes, most notably by supporting Wounded Warrior families. She serves as an Ambassador for Operation Healing Forces, a non-profit for Special Operations active duty and veteran military members and their families who have been impacted by injury and trauma while serving our country. She is an active supporter of The Joel Fund, a local organization near and dear to her heart that serves our Veterans by helping them reconnect and re-engage in their communities. In addition, she is an adaptive sports supporter and enthusiast. From her personal experience of life with a Wounded Warrior, she understands the importance and value of a platform for our Wounded Warriors and other individuals with disabilities (both physically and mentally) to participate in modified sports so they can feel independent, strong, and experience a sense of belonging while enjoying sports.
Tanya and her family enjoy an active lifestyle by focusing on healthy eating and exercise. Their three “furry” family members (two Great Danes and a rescue pup) also keep them active. Time spent at the beach re-energizes Tanya and is a great source of peace and restfulness.
